ibuildinpublic (“we”, “us”) operates ibuildinpublic.com, a platform for builders who share their work in public. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have.
This is template language for v1. Have it reviewed by qualified counsel before relying on it for compliance.
Account information: email address, authentication identifiers, username, display name, and profile content you choose to publish.
Usage data: pages viewed, interactions (follows, likes, comments), and technical logs such as IP address, browser type, and device information needed to operate and secure the service.
Content you submit: profile and product pages, daily log posts, Q&A answers, feedback requests and responses, resource submissions, and messages sent to support.
Waitlist and marketing: if you join the waitlist or subscribe to updates, we store your email and optional details you provide.
Provide and improve the platform, including feeds, notifications, matchmaking, and analytics shown to you about your own content.
Moderate community submissions and enforce our Terms and Community Guidelines.
Communicate with you about your account, security, and product updates you opt into.
Measure aggregate usage. If enabled, we may use privacy-friendly analytics (such as Plausible) that does not use cross-site tracking cookies.
We keep account and content data while your account is active and as needed to operate the service.
If you request deletion, we will remove or anonymize personal data within a reasonable period, subject to backups and legal retention requirements.
You control what you publish. Unpublished drafts and private account fields stay out of public view.
You may request access, correction, or deletion by emailing support@ibuildinpublic.com.
You can opt out of non-essential marketing emails using the unsubscribe link in those messages.
